Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KlickPens ("KlickPens", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit klickpens.com, use the KlickPens provider portal, or communicate with us (the "Services"). The Services are intended for licensed healthcare practices and their staff.
1. Information we collect
- Business and contact information you give us: name, practice name, work email, phone, practice state and type, and your message, when you request pricing or onboard a Clinic.
- Clinic and prescriber information entered in the portal: business details, prescriber names, NPI numbers, credentials, state licenses, shipping addresses, signatures and account activity.
- Patient information entered by an approved Clinic to place a patient-specific order (name, date of birth, address, prescription details). This is entered only by the Clinic, used only to fulfil that Clinic's orders through our pharmacy partner, and handled under the safeguards described below.
- Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and approximate location, collected via server logs and cookies.
2. How we use information
- To respond to pricing requests and onboard and approve Clinics.
- To process orders and transmit prescriptions to our licensed 503A compounding pharmacy partner.
- To communicate with you about your account, orders, reminders and our products, by email, phone or text where you have agreed.
- To verify licensure and prevent fraud, misuse and unlawful ordering.
- To operate, secure and improve the Services and comply with law.
3. How we share information
- Pharmacy partner: prescription, patient and prescriber information required to compound, dispense and ship each order.
- Service providers: hosting, email, CRM, payment processing and analytics vendors acting on our instructions.
- Legal: when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Services, including reporting to state boards where required.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share patient information for marketing.
4. Patient information and HIPAA
Clinics are responsible for obtaining any patient consent required to place an order. Where KlickPens or its vendors handle protected health information on behalf of a covered entity, we do so under written agreements and administrative, technical and physical safeguards. Patient information is accessible only to the ordering Clinic, KlickPens staff with a need to know, and the pharmacy partner.
5. Marketing communications and texts
If you give us your contact details, we may send business-to-business communications about our products and pricing. You can opt out of email at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. If you agree to receive text messages, message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in to the portal and may use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; the portal will not function without necessary cookies.
7. Security and retention
We use encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. We retain business records and order history as required by pharmacy, tax and healthcare record-keeping laws, and delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
8. Your choices and rights
You may access and update your Clinic's information in the portal, ask us to correct or delete business contact information, and opt out of marketing. Residents of states with privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Florida) may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or port personal information and to opt out of certain processing; we honor those rights as required by law. Contact us at the address below to make a request.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date.
